I painted this work to commemorate the years this couple spent in a beloved apartment in Minneapolis, and for the occasion of their 10-year anniversary. This was a surprise so I had to invent a reason to practice with my new digital camera to get source images of them sitting in their sunlit room with the cats playing their parts as well. It all worked out and now hangs in their new home in Chicago.
