A part of my “Little Things” series, this 16” x 20” oil on wood panel painting focuses in on a stack of books and pictures in a little reading nook in an otherwise broad open space. I like to draw the viewer in to reconsider everyday things and objects and think about them in a special, elevated way, and how they create a sense of mood and atmosphere in the space of the painting.
