This special commission came to me from a couple who live in Minneapolis and have a special connection to Northeast Minneapolis—the neighborhood where I have my studio. Northeast is a large section of the city, across the river from downtown, and we agreed upon an historic restaurant (the oldest in the city still surviving) for a special interior view that incorporated a view of the city in the distance just near where they have their condo. The chandeliers are original to the place and made a striking focal point for the piece as well.
